November Newsletter

Remember, remember the newsletter of November

Time to get the heating on and the big coats out, November is here – where did the time go?

This month might mark the start of lockdown 2.0, but we’re determined not to let it dampen our spirits – we’ve got lots of great news to share with you all.

For those of you who would like to pop into the office, whether once a week or more regularly, we are remaining open at Alpha Works, with safety procedures still firmly in place. It’s been great to see a mix of old and new faces around the office, and we hope to see many more of you very soon.

Helping the homeless

Birmingham is our home, and we want to look after those who live alongside us. The city has the second largest number of registered cases of homelessness in the UK, so we decided that it’s time to take action and do our bit.

That’s why Alpha Works has partnered with the charity Let’s Feed Brum, which is dedicated to taking care of people who don’t have a home of their own to go to. To help, we will be collecting clothes from the Community Team, our members and anyone else who would like to support, ensuring those in need are warm over winter.

If you’d like to donate any of your clothes, please do get in touch

Ask the adviser

Back by popular demand, our resident financial adviser, Ben Harrold, will be providing another of his free one-to-one ‘ask the adviser’ sessions via Zoom on Monday 30th November. This is a great opportunity for all our members to raise any questions they may have regarding their finances during this uncertain time.

Common queries so far have included concerns around investing in a volatile market, business protection options in case of ill health and the status of pensions, just to name a few. Ben will be available to offer the guidance you need no matter your financial worries.

If this sounds like something you could benefit from, contact us to book your place.
