Building Aventum Construction Services
After gaining years of experience in the construction industry, and receiving plenty of encouragement from those closest to him, Arend Kamping decided the time was right to become his own boss. In March 2020, alongside his father, Arend founded Aventum Construction Services. A commercial construction business with its clients’ needs placed firmly at its heart, Aventum treats every company as an individual, taking a bespoke approach to each project.
During his time in the industry, Arend has identified three core areas that companies often need support with. These include:
· Interior solutions: From a refresh to a complete overhaul, Aventum can transform your space, while ensuring great value for money.
· Health and safety services: Health and safety statutory legislation can be a minefield to navigate. Aventum can manage the necessary processes and procedures for you, taking the stress out of compliance.
· Construction management: Whether you need support with a large scale project or a few additional team members for a one-off job, Aventum is happy to help. Reviewing costs, handling contracts and carrying out general project management are all tools in Aventum’s construction management belt.
As a small family run business, Arend wants Aventum to remain a dynamic team with flexibility at its core. This allows them to deliver tailored results, going as far as becoming an extension of the client team. Working closely with its clients from the very start of a project to the end, enables Aventum to build lasting relationships based on trust, a key value of the business.
Laying foundations at Alpha Works
Having lived in Birmingham since 2006 and knowing the range of opportunities available in the city, Arend had no difficulty in deciding where to plant Aventums’ roots. The next step was finding the ideal base.
After working in a shared office space that failed to tick his boxes, Arend knew exactly what he did – and didn’t – want from his next workplace. It turned out that the solution was closer than he thought, with Alpha Tower visible from his office window.
Alpha Works instantly appealed to Arend. The industrial yet professional aesthetic matched Aventum perfectly, portraying the right image to existing and prospective clients. The variety of amenities, such as the gym, phone booths and Alpha Café, also impressed, with the latter offering a welcoming space to meet with clients over a cup of freshly made coffee. Hot-desking also turned out to be the perfect fit for the dynamic workflow of Arend and his team, with the communal areas offering a lively and collaborative atmosphere to work in. However, the biggest benefit of all has been the Community Team. From setting up meeting rooms to always being there for a chat, nothing is too much trouble. Much like Aventum becomes a part of its clients, the Alpha Works team has become an extension of Aventum.
Building for tomorrow
Staying flexible is the main goal for Aventum, so remaining a tight-knit team is crucial for the future. Through organic growth and establishing great partnerships, Aventum hopes to be known for its personal approach to business, making a positive impact on the landscape of Birmingham.
