Feeling festive at Alpha Works

December Newsletter

The countdown to Christmas has officially begun. It’s time to dig out your favourite festive jumper and turn up the Mariah Carey, because at Alpha Works, all we want for Christmas is to be able to see more of you in the new year. Throughout December, we’re keeping business as usual - with a little added sparkle, of course - so we’d love for you to pay us a socially distanced visit, whether for a week, a day, or just a lunchtime.girls It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas To get our members into the festive spirit, we’re providing everyone with some tasty treats. From mince pies, candy canes, chocolates and marshmallows, to a range of syrups to give your hot drink that extra something special. We’re also spicing up our usual Friday drinks, with the addition of Baileys and Advocaat for a classic Snowball cocktail. It’s the least you all deserve after this year! Of course, it wouldn’t be Christmas at Alpha Works without a beautifully decorated tree in reception. We’re always here to support our members, so if you’d like some tips on how to make your tree just as fabulous, we’d be happy to help. On 9th December, business and life coach, Sarah Taggart will be running a group coaching session over Zoom. She will be looking at why it is so important to create business plans and how to set achievable goals for your company and individually, followed by an open discussion. The aim is for you to go away from the session with a clear mind and a selection of objectives for the new year. Think of it as a way to come up with some professional New Year’s resolutions. If you’re interested in attending, please contact the Community Team. Alpha Works Live Business Coaching session with Sarah Taggart 1
Welcome To The Dream Team You may have noticed a couple of friendly new faces around Alpha Works over recent weeks – introducing Rebecca and Daisy, part of our Community Team. Rebecca is our Community Manager. She will be playing the role of matchmaker, helping to develop relationships amongst the Alpha Works Community and putting our members in contact with those they can help, and vice versa. Here to support you with every step of your business journey, Rebecca can even assist with any heavy lifting during office renovations, having competed in body power competitions in the past. Daisy has taken up the role of Community Associate. Having worked in the serviced office industry for three years, she has plenty of experience to share. She will also be your go to for booking meeting rooms, as well as being involved with planning events and managing all social activities - hopefully we’ll be seeing many more of these in 2021. In her spare time, Daisy also loves to bake, with cheesecakes being her speciality. We look forward to them appearing in reception for all of us to enjoy! Make sure to say hello if you see them around the office, our Community Team is always available for a chat. team City Festivities Selfridges Birmingham is an iconic landmark of the city centre, known for its luxury shops and jellybean bull. Why not do your Christmas shopping in style, and pay a visit to this retail legend? From 2nd - 24th December, Selfridges will be running a host of festive events for everyone to partake in, from a reindeer hunt around the toys and kids' departments (ending in a chocolatey prize) and a chance to meet Santa, to personalised gifts and festive entertainment from a variety of DJs and singers. Selfridges is just a 15-minute walk away from Alpha Works, so get your Christmas on and make the most of your lunch break this December. We hope the December newsletter has put you in the mood for mince pies and mistletoe, and we’ll see you next time in the first newsletter of 2021. Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year! bull
