Our story – making clear cut consultancy a reality
Emerald Project Management is an ambitious construction consultancy, proudly working with both the world’s largest healthcare company and the UK’s largest hotel operator, to name but a few.
Emerald Project Management’s journey began in December 2015 when Kevin and James joined forces, combining their extensive experience in the healthcare and hospitality sectors.
But the partnership between Kevin and James arguably began many years ago at Cub Scouts, with chance encounters uniting them ever since!
The combination of technical expertise, deep-rooted industry knowledge and touching 40 years of combined client-facing exposure, means that they are well equipped to provide a range of tailored and adaptable consultancy services to businesses across the entire nation.
Emerald Project Management pride themselves on consistently delivering high-quality services whilst always maintaining a dedicated yet flexible approach. They like to challenge, change and are always looking for the next opportunity to enhance and grow themselves and their clients.
The team is supported by a network of sector specialists across the UK and Europe, with satellite offices both in the UK and further afield. However, being born and bred Brummies and not wanting to miss out on one of the fastest growing economies outside London, making Birmingham their headquarters was a natural choice.
Enter Alpha Works…
Due to Emerald Project Management’s national spread of consultants, a flexible co-working space was the obvious solution when looking for their Birmingham home.
We had previously experienced co-working spaces elsewhere and decided that the environment really suited our business style. The atmosphere at Alpha Works is great – it brings some calm to our busy days whilst always maintaining the professionalism needed to be fit for client impromptu visits.
Collaboration is at the heart of Alpha Works and Theresa and her team are always planning events and meet ups to bring members together to share ideas and encourage partnerships. We have already made some great connections during our time here, in fact we are currently talking with a few of our fellow members about some potential work opportunities.
As an agile team, we enjoy being surrounded by a varied community, which is why Alpha Works suits us. Instead of being restricted to one office, we benefit from the shared spaces which we often use to support our wider team or to just sit with a coffee and laptop and appreciate the views.
Similarly, the meeting rooms accommodate everything from small informal client meetings through to large groups with ease. From the moment we saw the office space – that was still in its construction phase at the time – we could see that Alpha Works would be a place that we would be proud to invite our clients to.
As a rapidly growing business, it was imperative that we found a space that would suit us not only at present but also in time to come. Being able to hire a new team member and simply add another pass to our Alpha Works account has saved a lot of time.
Looking to the future
We have hit some big milestones recently, from completing 161 rooms in eight weeks at Thurrock West Premier Inn to appointing Adam as Associate Director.
Going forward, the aim is to continue to grow sustainably without losing customer focus. We know where our specialisms lie and are competing against some of the largest consultancies in the country.
Thanks to Alpha Works, we have an office space right at the heart of a vibrant community and that is only going to support our ambitious plans for the future.
